Vibes Bytes

Basically, a section where I explain a headline in two to three sentences.

PaidGPT, ChatGPT launches a $42/Month Plan

This was everywhere over the weekend so I’ll be shocked if you didn’t see this.

So basically there’s a new Pro Plan that costs $42 per Month, so what do you get for this? Availability even when demand is high Faster response speed Priority access to new features

At $42/month, ChatGPT Pro needs 200,000 subscribers to hit $100 million ARR. ChatGPT has Millions of users so how long do you think it’ll take for ChatGPT to reach $100 Million ARR?

My guess is 2/3 months.

The paid plan is being rolled out slowly so there’s a solid chance it hasn’t been rolled out to you yet (it also hasn’t been rolled out to me, yet).

Will you be paying for it?

AI chatbot’s MBA exam pass poses test for business schools

Elon Musk has long dismissed the MBA as irrelevant or damaging, but now a company backed by the outspoken tech entrepreneur is threatening to directly undermine the value of the flagship business degree: the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT.

Christian Terwiesch of Wharton Business School concluded that while ChatGPT proved impressively literate and analytical in drafting answers to the questions he gave it on operations management and process analysis, its numeracy skills were far more limited, But he stressed that it could quickly improve its answers when given clues, and more broadly the technology offered considerable scope in the future including in drafting and marking tests to free teachers for more valuable student support.

A non-traumatic way to Make AI Safer, Constitutional AI

Remember last week when we reported ChatGPT paying Kenyan workers less than $2/hour to read through explicit materials just to tell ChatGPT what NOT to say? well, that's not the best way to do it. Taking a page of Claude, a ChatGPT competitor they use Constitutional AI. How does that work?

Anthropic is taking the lead in raising a well-behaved AI by training Claude using a revolutionary approach called Constitutional AI. This method is akin to giving a child a list of manners and telling them to "be a gentleman/lady" and when the child does something inappropriate, asking them "Would a gentleman/lady do that?". It's a simple but effective way to teach Claude to think before it speaks and choose the most appropriate response based on a set of predefined principles.

Believe this is way more effective, to be honest.

Now, tell your friends about this while slightly stuttering so you sound like a Mega brain genius.

Asia’s richest man is addicted to ChatGPT

Asia’s richest man Gautam Adani says he is addicted to ChatGPT, the powerful new AI tool that interacts with users in an eerily convincing and conversational way.

In a LinkedIn post last week, the 60-year-old Indian tycoon said that the release of ChatGPT was a “transformational moment in the democratization of AI given its astounding capabilities as well as comical failures.” The billionaire also admitted to “some addiction” to ChatGPT since he started using it.

CNET pauses its controversial AI-generated stories 'for now'

CNET has hit the pause button on its controversial article-writing bot. In a staff call on Friday, CNET leadership announced that it would stop using artificial intelligence to write articles "for now." Last week, online marketing expert Gael Breton tweeted that an article about financial planning came with a disclaimer that it was "generated using automation technology," leading to criticism that the disclaimer was insufficient and too subtle. Now, the author is listed as "CNET Money" and the disclaimer has been changed to "This article was assisted by an AI engine and reviewed, fact-checked, and edited by our editorial staff."

Using a bot to identify and churn out stories for the explicit purpose of monetization blurs the lines of ethical editorial practice
