Microsoft Launches Prompt AI (APO)
For those who thought they’ll become billionaires from writing the next great prompt, well sorry to break it to ya, but Microsoft got us covered with APO, Automatic Prompt Optimization. As the name suggests it automatically Optimizes a prompt for the best possible results.
APO which was developed by Microsoft researchers to improve the process of prompt development for large language models (LLMs) is a general and nonparametric algorithm that automates prompt optimization using techniques inspired by numerical gradient descent.
By adjusting prompts based on natural language "gradients" obtained from training data, APO consistently outperforms baselines on various NLP tasks without additional model training or hyperparameter optimization.
This advancement reduces manual labor and development time, enhancing the efficiency of LLMs in producing high-quality prompts.
So soon we’ll have an AI that can write better prompts than humans, then eventually you just got to tell the AI what you want to do and it’ll ask you questions to get it done perfectly.
Huge ChatGPT Update
Over the weekend, OpenAI made an announcement for all ChatGPT plus users.
PLUGIN ACCESS IS COMING THIS WEEK, TO EVERYONE
That means if you are subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, no matter where in the world you are, this week you’ll be getting access to over 70+ AI Plugins and also the Web browsing feature (this might be the last time I use Google tbh)
Keep checking your settings panel for this update, sometime this week a “beta features” setting should pop up on your settings page. Like this:
Once I get access I’ll do a full rundown on how it is compared to Google and also test the major plugins.
From other people testing the web browsing feature, they say it takes way longer than a regular Google search.
2 weeks ago, Microsoft announced Bing Plugins are coming to everyone, Now OpenAI Announced ChatGPT Plugins are coming to everyone (on Plus).
Bing uses GPT 4, ChatGPT Plus uses GPT 4. They both still have messages limit.
Bing has access to the Internet, ChatGPT Web browsing, also has access to the internet
Eventually, what will be the need to get a ChatGPT Plus subscription when Bing has all the features?
OpenAI will eventually have to start excluding some features from Microsoft or they get acquired cause this won’t end well if neither.

Amazon's New AI Robot
Amazon is working on a new home robot project called Burnham, according to leaked internal documents. The goal is to enhance the capabilities of the Astro home robot and make it smarter. Burnham utilizes generative AI technology to provide intelligence and a conversational interface to /the robot.
This upgraded version of Astro would be able to understand the context of a household and respond accordingly. It can remember and comprehend what it sees, engage in Q&A dialogues, and act on the information using large language models and advanced AI.
The documents highlight various potential applications, such as identifying hazards like a stove left burning or a faucet left running, calling for help in emergencies, locating misplaced items, checking for open windows, and monitoring activities in the house.
However, the development is still ongoing, and there is no timeline for when Burnham will be integrated into a commercial product.
