New AI Helps Reduce the Risk of Vision Loss

AI robots don’t have retina but they are about to save your retina, come on this is a good headline

So as the headline states there’s a New AI that detects subtle changes in the retina and could use the changes detected to help doctors diagnose patients early and help avoid vision loss or blindness.

This one right here is a game changer, on one hand, we have an AI working on preventing vision loss then we also have Neuralink working on giving vision back to the visionless wait so in less than a decade Blindness would be a thing of the past???? SIIICCCKKKK

The retinal deep learning model, developed during a three-year study by Monash University, helps GPs and health care professionals detect and predict the risk of retinal vein occlusion (RVO), which occurs when a blood clot blocks a vein in the eye’s retina.

Now if I said there’s more this AI can do you wouldn’t believe me buuuuuutttttttt, there’s more it can do!!

The technology also has the potential to predict the risk of heart attacks and stroke, because the retina is so closely connected to other parts of the body through the central nervous system.

Now that right there is a game changer!

AI spots deepfake videos of the Ukrainian president

A deepfake detector can now spot fake videos of Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy with high accuracy by analyzing a combination of voices, facial expressions, and upper body movements. This detection system could not only protect Zelenskyy, who was the target of a deepfake attempt during the early months of the Russian invasion of Ukraine but also be trained to flag deepfakes of other world leaders and business tycoons.

I think we can all agree that this is an emerging problem, especially with the rate at which deepfakes are becoming rampant in the crypto scam world (cough cough Elon musk).

Now some of y’all AI haters and scary cats would be saying ‘ but I can easily recognize an elon deep fake when I see one’

Two, Deepfake technology is getting better every damn day, so at some point, it’ll become so good you can’t distinguish.

we all love the avengers, but what if… just what if… if those movies were made in 1980 and directed by indie auteur Wes Anderson? btw Wes is a renowned filmmaker. His films are known for their eccentricity and unique visual and narrative styles.

It all looks fun and weird, but some details are a little terrifying.
