TEACH CHATGPT TO ALWAYS REMEMBER STUFF
ChatGPT is great, but If you've been using it for some time, you know it can forget things.
You teach it well, and then the next chat, it's like it forgot everything.
Makes you want to pull your hair out!
Well, I found a sneaky trick to help ChatGPT remember what you taught it - Tail Generation prompt!
Why should you use it?
Consistency: Ensures that critical context or instructions are always available.
Memory Aid: Aids ChatGPT in remembering discussions and instructions for a longer period of time.
Iterative Interactions: Allows you to carry on a conversation without having to repeat yourself.
Here’s how it works:
You simply add a command that makes ChatGPT summarize your past chats before responding.
So over multiple talks, it recaps what it learned before going on.
My exact prompt says:
"Before responding, provide more details on the previous conversations we have had, including…. Or ask me if you can move on to the next detail."
Then I list key points I want it to remember.
This replay helps refresh ChatGPT's memory each time.
So all our chats build on each other.
I've attached an example prompt together with a conversation, but you can continue the interaction on your own here
Keep trying if ChatGPT forgets something.
More practice sticks it in there better.

Wait-listed users will soon access a web interface, but the model is not for real-world or commercial use at its current stage.
